This herb comes from the springtime European Horsetail plant. It is rich in natural source of silica, which is deposited in its stems.
Equisetum arvense (Horsetail) - 125mg/tablet
(equiv. to Equisetum arvense leaf and stem dry - 500mg)
Silica is the most active component of collagen, which acts as a binding agent that keeps the cells ‘glued’ together. Sufficient silica levels in the body help the skin to stay soft and elastic, hair to shine and the bones and teeth to remain strong. It strengthens nails and hair and is especially good for split ends. Silica helps the body to utilise and hold calcium, so that the body can store more of this mineral and it is able to form stronger bones.
